HI ALL

I i'm thinking about making a GWR.
But it's going to be ery hard as my Route geomatry Extractor ( it doen't seem to let me 'add all selection tiles' and just will not let me do it)
>any ideas?.
(GET BACK TO ME ON Montylowe1@aol.cm)

The second big problem is that trafering all the shapes and texture will be a bit teadeious ( i thinks that how u spell it!)
is there a utillity that wil enable me to transfer all the files from other routes and along with the 'ref' files to my new route.

Is there anyone one with good ideas ect..
My in original plan was to build a 30 mile ( approx) from Exter to Plymouth.....so any sujestjoins?
Get back to me on this one

Hi all,

Funny... how many people are now working on GWR? (my own one currently approaching West Drayton and Heathrow)

I had no problems selecting all necessary tiles from RGE (for the first stage as far as Didcot), there shouldn't be any problem provided you follow the RGE help (essentially selecting tiles one by one and toggling its state with right click).
I too decided that transferring all default shapes and textures didn't sound good, so I am adding them one by one (as required).
There's a combined reference file "combined.ref" available e.g. at train-sim.com, using all the shapes from all 6 default routes, but it's possible to cut and paste required sections from any .ref file.

...ok... who'll then run the first MSTS Paddington-Penzance HST?

Regards, JH

Well i'am not quite sure when the route will be completed...But it will hopefully done in the next month or so i'am a bit slow ( only just started realy!)
All being well i will manage to upload the route to this WEBSITE, or alternitively i will burn all the files on to CD, and anyone who want to obtain the route can do so vai poast and my internal E-mail address .
Stil have mass problems with my geometry extractor!
Keep the replys coming because i'am new to the buisnes(s) so to speak!

The RGE, select NEW QUAD TREE, from the File menu. Then select the area, go to edit-selection...
You can then right click add selection tiles, should add the tiles.

I'm currently working on the Penzance-Plymouth-Exeter line. I don't mind in the slightest if you want to also do the Plymouth to Exeter bit. I've started out from Penzance and so far have completed most of the terraforming and tracklaying from PZ to Truro.

Check out the light brown Quail map (I think it's number 2). If needs, I can probably trace the overall trackplan from it and post it to you. Unfortunately I live rather far away to lend it to you

I've tried just copy and pasting it all but it still does't show up on mt texture select option list i still just get my normal boring green grassey stuff. as opose to 9 different textures I.E sand, water, gravel ect.
