Consists have now been reduced from 1,442 to 1,087. I can't remember what the critical number is, but jbilton may be right.
Chris, it seems to happen most frequently with NWE and WCML routes, the two most recently installed - BUT, it appears to be unpredictable and regardless of the activity in use.
I use Windows XP and I close other applications with Enditall.
I guess things are just freezing up in some circumstances.
Once again, thanks to two of you.

Jock,
No worries, glad to help, train store should help as choccy suggests....
Quick Mods Note:
Would it be possible to keep everything in one topic in future? There isnt really any need for multiple topics.
2nd Quick Mods Note:
Thanks

Actually he has a point, a title such as "MSTS Freezing for no apparent reason" or something more descriptive would be a lot better, and rather more helpfull. "Just HELP!" doesnt really tell us anything, and you may well find a lot of people just skip over it... thus not offering helpfull suggestions. To LucaZone, on the other hand, "Va te faire foutre!"
Thanks

Dont quite see this as the same thing?.....I'm assuming you're saying you opt for programmes instead of system cache...personally I dont have system cache at all....so I could hardly cut back on it?lemberg wrote:Why oh' Why do people who have xp take up space with programmes like end it all when in my computer properties there is the option in advanced properties to utilise the processer for either system cache or to run the programmesthat they are using.

But there are hundreds of programmes available, which seem intent in sitting in peoples systray.... all taking a few valuble resources each.
(When ever my father has trouble....its usually due to him having added a number of fairly useless programmes and opted for the run all the time option during installation.)
