How's the Westbury-Weymouth route coming along now? Any chance of some screenshots of progress?

well the route has about 90% of all the track route done, just a few things to do around merehead quarry. it is fully drivable jus no signals or anything jus plain platforms to mark out the stations. I have been away for a few weeks and had PC probs so its still quite alot to do. Thanks for your interest in this project

is it now (ie a shadow of the main line it used to be) or back in the days that the boat trains came from paddington and not waterloo?

I am very suprised at the response for this route, to answer some of these questions. yes the terrain is DEM'd as for gradients i am not sure if this is accurate. The Merehead quarry is going to included but as a simplified version due to limtations. All the track work is done except a small part of the quarry (as its part of a triangle i am not good at it but will b trying to sort this). Any more questions is appreciated and i do have activity screenshot on my site if you would like to have a look.

Route looking very good!

I notice on your website that you're considering featuring an extension from Castle Cary-Taunton. I think this would be an excellent idea as you could link up with both GWML West from Taunton-Exeter, and GWML 2 from Exeter-Plymouth. Then some great multi route spanning activities will be possible.

When Pepsipowells' Portsmouth-Wales route is available, it will be possible to drive from Weymouth-Taunton via Bristol too.

Once all these South West based routes are available, it'll be great!

Will you be waiting until all the scenery is complete before uploading it? Or uploading a non-scenerised version for people to enjoy whilst the scenery is being worked on?

Also, did you use TS Tools to plot the trackwork of your route? If so, how long it did take you to get used to using this method?

One other question. Will you be including the Weymouth Quay line?

The release of my route will be when I feel that its a good time to do so, which will mean there will be at lease signals, speed limits, station platforms and maybe things around stations and the merehead quarry afterwhich the next release will probally be the full scenerised version but who knows. As for track laying i did not use TS Tools as I couldn't understand it so i jus manually made the markers using http://www.streetmap.co.uk I did manage to complete track laying (apart from the merehead quarry) within about 2 or three weeks due to the fact I had a few weeks off to do this. As for your last question I am sorry to say that I will not be including the Quay line at this time.

Hope this answers your questions any more and I will be glad to answer any reguarding the route.

Thank you for your interest

Any more news on your route? Been a while since we last heard. Just wondering if the route is still "healthy"?

The route, what can I say. Its still being worked on got all but two stations got platforms built (and then the station its self on most of it). I can't really give too much away as now I am not the only person to be working on this, but an announcement will be made along with a new website

Sorry about this but the route is more or less beta with very little scenery

Please wait for an announcement is really all I can say
