Route-Riter v5.1.0 compatibility with SView 1.2

The MSTS 1 Route Editor can be a beast to use, but it's capable of some amazing results, here you can talk with the wizards that are building some of the fantastic routes available and learn how to make your own.

Route-Riter v5.1.0 compatibility with SView 1.2

Post by JohnKendrick »

I am having problems having both these programs cohabiting!

I installed SView 1.2 and it worked fine.

I then installed the Route-Riter 5.1.0 update. The SView module in RR worked, but SView itself "Failed to activate control VB.usercontrol"

I then re-installed SView, that worked fine again but then RR produced its version of a send/don't send when trying to access its SView module.

Is anyone aware of a solution for this incomatibility please?

No, one or the other, but not both.

Downloaded new version (5.2.12), removed old version, and new version won't install until it "renews some system files" - which it then refuses to do -

UGHH I've got NO RouteRiter now! :(
At the third pip, it will be time to open another beer. :drinking:

Are you on XP ....theres a work around in the readme.
delete setup.Lst then rename setupxp.Lst to setup.Lst
and re-install.

I didn't use it as it setup on mine straight away....but then again I didn't fully remove my old version folder just renamed it to routeriter old.
In fact i didnt even bother to extract it...just ran it straight out of the builtin extractor.....makes achange for something to work for me.
PS I had already got all the latest DLLs from Martins site...so they didn't need upgrading(most included ones were older).
hope this helps. :D
