is diesel 10 that orange peak thing with the JCB bucket? That is nothing short of criminal. And I've only seen the toy of it in Swanage shop.

Chris Awdry isn't that much better. The only decent Thomas storys are the ones by Rev Awdry, because most of them were based on stuff that actually happened, AFAIK. The worst thing is that they have one of pretty much every class ever made now. OK I know you couldn't run a railway with 12 engines, but come on...

I second that motion, I mean bringing in an A4. Waaayyyyyy toooo far. I mean, I thought bringing in the Flying Scotsman was a bit over the top. Now HIT ENTERTAINMENT is disgracing Sir Nigel Gresley. I think they should do what Rev Awdry did, base thier stories on things that have actually happened in the REAL railway world

Oh but think of all the little kids! They won't have anyone encouraging them to cause railway accidents!

They'll have Health and Safety inspectors breathing down their necks for using colours which are too garish and could distract lineside workers and signalmen.

Plus where are the mandatory high intensity marker lights on Thomas or the other engines?

May I just note

Chris Awdry wrote some damn good books! So shut up! Just about every story in Railway Series #27-40 (along with 1-26) are based on true real life events. The Awdrys introduced many classes because they probably wanted the children to distinguish between engines (the only twins being Donald and Douglas, and Bill and Ben).

If what you mean by introducing an A4, is what's happening in the new seasons (season 7-8) of the TV Series, then I agree. HIT Entertainment screwed up the series BIG TIME. :-? Murdoch is the most disgraceful, in my opinion, because look at that color! >_< ICK!! Not to mention how very stupid and babyish the stories have become. Sure the series was meant to be bedtime stories, but this goodygoody stuff is taking it way too far.

You guys can make fun of what HIT Entertainment has done to the series, but don't even think about insulting the Awdrys. If you want something to be done, complain to HIT Entertainment folks, don't just sit around pointing fingers, laughing, and sighing.

I don't rate Chris Awdry's stories as high as I rate his fathers. Sorry.

He is way better than this HIT rubbish though. It's quite heartbreaking to see something so good disrespected and spoilt by the moneymen.
