MidEast UK Electrification error
Hej,
I tried to electrify the MidEast UK, but when I put the gantries on the sector around St. Neot, the track disappeared and it always gives an error message.
Anybody knows why or anybody tried this also?
Will there be a version by Tim in the future with electrification?
I'm not from England and so I don't know if this route is electrify in real and how - third rail....?
Marc

...
... no edmund, the patches didn't included OHL's or gantries.
But I only know the patches 1.1 to 1.3 - maybe there is another
patch, but not on the uktrainsim-site.
Did anybody tried to electrify the route???

I think the GNER EastCoast electric route was based on the ECML (on which MidEast was based) but whether a full electric MidEast is planned, I've no idea. As almost all the route APART from the mainline is non-electric anyway, it would make it even more un-prototypical.
And no, there are no other patches for the route. Tim is looking at updating it, but how far that update goes, nobody knows but Tim. I just hope he keeps it steamable.
The problem around St Neots was raised somewhere else; I think (off the top of my head) it's tied in with the number of objects on tiles reaching saturation level

did it.........
So, I electrified the route last night and used the Woodhead-gantries. It doesn't look perfect, but its o.k.
Problems are the stations and larger track areas, which couldn't be done with the gantries. I used the automatic mode to place them, maybe it works better if you place them manually, but it will take too much time.
Its really bad with the MSTS that it is not possible to electrify only parts of routes, or does anybody know how to do this?

Thats the only way to do it...electrify the route....set the wires at say 250m...so you dont see them... then place ganties where you want them ...then manually add all the wires....I dont think anyones ever bothered ...too time consuming.
Oh and then the wires look . on curves...maybe some thing for MSTS 2.
PS Have alook at the gantries on Warrington...I think they might look better than the woodhead ones.

done
Hej,
I electrified the whole route now by using "woodhead gantries" for the normal lines and at stations etc. I tried german gantries, which could be used for more than 6 lines.
I excluded the area around St. Neots and Huntingdon, because there always the editor crushed down.
Thanks for your tips.
