See this topic - a possible solution, but it's harder work but you do end up being able to have some areas of your route non-electrified and some with realistic looking overhead wires: http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?t=29499jonathanmlewis wrote:I may include it is I discover a method to stop wires appearing in certain places.

I think this method works by editing the .w file
for example change:
trackobj (
filename ( a1t10mstr.s )
...
to :
static (
filename ( a1t10mstr.s )
I have not yet tested it out I just read it a while ago on http://www.train-sim.com

How is this route coming along.
I can now drive from London to Warrington on the Mersey route, hand over to a NWE crew to take me to Lancaster. And there is a train waiting at Carlisle to take me home to Glasgow.
This route is now at the top of my waiting list and the short bit I have from Oxenholm to Penrith looked good.

I was away last week and have been busy with other stuff lately but I should be able to get back to work on the route soon. I still have Warrington Yard to place and track now ends at the south end of Warrington station. I have also started places roads etc around Canforth. I still need to finish of track in what was steam-town then all track north of Warrington will be complete. I will try and post some more screenshots in the next few days.ianmacmillan wrote:How is this route coming along.
