smashing pictures Martin, just a shame to see Bare Lane has been defaced with a non standard nameboard and ugly replacement windows......

Yeah, but the old ones were in an atrocious state.

I don't like the nameboard either!

Nice pics

Bare Lane at the moment hardly has any scenery because I am mainly just adding scenery to the WCML. The track is down to just beyond Bare Lane station (so that you can turn a train).

Just put in a few houses either side of the tracks, a road parallel to Platform one to the end of the platform (car park) and a few trees. and fields in the 'triangle' and you're sorted!

Thats easier said that done!

I'll try and do that when I get round to it.

The route is now about 95 miles long and about 12 miles have scenery.

I have now reached Wigan NW station. I have been busy with other stuff lately so that is why I have not made that much progress on the route and I did another trip to Preston to help me out with the route.

Here is a screenshot at Wigan in the RE. You can see Wallgate station to the right and Wigan NW to the left with the WCML going north.

Hi Jon

Are you going any further south? At this rate were going to end up with 4 routes showing this area :o Looks very promising so far, well done mate.

I would like to get to B'ham NS but I think this version may end up stopping at Crewe. I am doing more of a Virgin Cross Country route from West Coast.
