Hi guys,

just thought id share my thoughts on the route, looks bloody amazing thats all i have to say, if this is ever released to cd you can put me down for a copy, problably one (if the not The!) most detailed routes ive seen yet for trainsim.

Even though i live in glasgow and cant wait to see that end of the route i cant wait to be making activities using those fantastic new 158 & 170 models.

keep up the great work guys !!!!

I'd like to add my congratulations to you guys on what looks like a superb route... it will be worth the wait to see the end result. I'm totally unfamiliar to the Scottish routes, but will certainly look forward to exploring this detailed route.
Do you intend to release the route in stages or as one completed route?

Great work fellers. BTW if Perth ever features in a route I've got hundreds of photos of the station and some drawings (somewhere)!

The routes trackwork and signalling is more or less 100%. There's one or two little bits not done yet. The scenery will be released in stages. First stage is Rosyth to Edinburgh. After that, I'm not sure what I'll do next. Most probably the E&G.

The first stage should hit the site just before the Hawick roadshow at the very latest. It will be a completely new route. Cd will also be available for those not wishing a 100mb+ download.

Remodelling Eastfield back in the 80's will be a problem as I don't have any material from that era. If I can find enough, I would redo the depot. As it stands, only the current state is laid trackwise.

Having had your Fife Route for quite sometime now, I often have a run on it, as I just love going across the Forth Bridge, especially in an A4. Screen shots of two A4s, passing each other on the bridge look great from most angles.
I am eagerly awaiting your release of the new Scottish Central Route which will be much more enjoyable than the present Fife Route, especially as it will include the Tay Bridge and Dundee Station. :D
Have you any plans to add the illfated Tay Bridge stone pillars, that run alongside the new bridge, these would make it more realistic when running the sim.
Anyway Kerr, good luck with all the work still to do on it and it has got to be a MUST for a CD version, especially for us old 56k modem downloader's who have not got broadband.
I will be watching this topic much more frequently than I have in the past.

Eastfield Depot?

Post by chrisq »

i must admit eastfield depot would be an excellent addon for the route, as it would give much interest for activity making in the future for the route, aswell as being problably the most well known yard in and around the glasgow area.

i have some pictures of the main shed itself and engines lying around in the mid 80's, if i canfigure out how to get these on here i will do so..

in the mean time keep up the great work, and i think everyone will join me 2 say well done with what you have shown us so far

Edinburgh Park station was due to be done in stage 2, however I thought I'd try and see if I could do the station as close to reality as possible. I think I've gotten pretty close.
