Niall, I think I managed to get most of the bridge on the Dundee side. Mind you, when I was sizing up the shots for the iron arches I nearly fell in the bloody Tay. The wall isn't as tall as I thought.

I like those pics you sent over, thanks. Shows the detail great.

Seems to be low tide... there is soemthing missing :P
..Ah yeah i was waiting for a (Very) low tide for them
..and still gotta reduce the segments on the signal box planes and get the textures fixed.

Wip:
<IMG width="646" height="524" SRC="http://album.atomic-systems.com/showPic ... esouth.JPG">

Very much aided by someone leaving the gate open so i could get a decent picture without perching myself on the fence
(note: i did not actually go through the gate)
The brickwork and slates are in need of some attention. The windows are direct from the photo i took and the door i have used on the back of it is from another picture i have. I tried to clamber along the bank at the side of the bridge to get a shot of what the east facing wall looks like but only got half way before the bushes beat me. So i haven't got a clue whether it really is White UPVC or what!

Ive also had to take a guess that there are 3 north facing windows.

This box must have had a pretty good view from its position on the North platform of wormit station.

Somebody had to plant a housing estate in the area though.

As for the echo, i have a bad habit of hitting the back button to go back to the forum listing... and end up resubmitting my message.

Just did a picture search for Wormit Station

http://www.rubylane.com/ni/shops/papershop/iteml/1538

Only a tenner...

Also found this

http://data.scottishscreen.com/

Which produced 5 films by searching for Wormit Station including a video of crossing the bridge in 1897. Soem have a Quicktime Clip

Its also shown me how the box used to look like, clearly the door has been moved once the window over looking womrit station was no longer needed.

Soem more pics found here opf the wormit: http://ianmorrison.topcities.com/ian.htm

http://www.dundeecity.gov.uk/photodb/wc4048.htm
Wormit Boating Club is now down at Woodhaven but this until recently was standing not far off the bridge (kerr if you got the picture of the old pier at the bridge this is jsut to the right of that) but is now a pile of bricks.

Looking Very Good!!! Is there any chance that you could send me the files for Tay Bridge Station so I can try to retro engineer it as I was intending doing Dundee to Arbroath in 1950 but got bogged down with the junction into the docks at the top of the 1 in 60 out of Dock Street tunnel? I would still like to do the route, but a new job means that I don't have as much spare time as I would like - but I am working on that too!! I know that D to A in 1950 went into Dundee East!

I am away on holiday at the moment but will be back in the UK by the end of the month.

Niall, I've been having a mess around with the texture for the signal box. When I'm done I'll mail it over to you.

Superb, Cobos. I can't see any obvious mistakes in the trackwork, absoloutely spot on mate. :)
Is the plan now also to go (along with the E&G) Edinburgh - Glasgow Central via Shotts or Carstairs ?? I hear you may be doing Mossend later..

P.S Any updated shots of Dundee ??
P.P.S Have you started to re-signal coz I'm sure you had it 40% complete then I noticed it's now 0%...

Cheers.

Cheers Gary. Edinburgh to Central via Shotts is complete. Mossend may appear in a later release.

I have the station walls and platforms modelled for Dundee Station, and most of the Tay Bridge now.

You're correct about the signals. Edinburgh to Glasgow Queen Street was complete, and as far as Inverkeithing. I started signalling from Dundee and when I reached Thornton Junction, I received a could not save correctly message. Thought nothing of it, reloaded route and tried again. Same deal. Going down further into Thornton I noticed a track piece missing. Adjacent track error. I've done track rebuilds with signals in the past, so I thought nothing of this either. Then vector errors appeared. After the first day I thought the end was near. I wasn't going to start over for a third time. It took 2 days to work out what was going on and fix the vector errors. As a result, all signalling was lost. Happily though, track rebuilds have no errors now.

Work on the signal box and other stuff i was doing has pretty much halted, lake of awakeness, and all thats really left is a guessy at the entrance stairs to the box. However i was a Leuchars a couple of days ago and the design is similar though leuchars box is much taller and has white wooden stairs leading up to door so im going to use that as the basis, provided i can get into GMax at somepoint soon.

Been loosing time with being busy.

And i was going to do some other North Tip of Fife stuff as well :(
