Problem with Ukspeedpost.Zip

The MSTS 1 Route Editor can be a beast to use, but it's capable of some amazing results, here you can talk with the wizards that are building some of the fantastic routes available and learn how to make your own.

Problem with Ukspeedpost.Zip

Post by danielw2599 »

hi

Heres the problem....

1: I can install them no probs

2: I can select them in the route editor no probs

3: I can even place the speedposts in my route no probs

4: BUT, when i enter the speedpost value (eg, 60) i get the following message.....

"Failed to open texture file"

"Failed to load speedpost texture <UK_mod_temp_sp_A,B.ace> Please check route textures sub-dirs."

Ive double checked and ive put all the textures that came with the UKSpeedpost.zip archive in my texture folder.

There must be something im doing wrong.

Thanks

I note the filename its looking for has a comma in it.

Are you by any chance using the built-in-to-winXP unzipper rather than winzip? This has an annoying bug where it ignores anything with a comma in the name.

You will need the evaulation version of winzip from http://www.winzip.com, or another unzipper to successfully unpack this archive.
