Typical, you wait two years for a Euston to Birmingham route, and then two come along at once

Hi Stephen
Dont let the fact I am having a go at Euston stop you, it will very likely be different to mine anyway as everyone has ther own way of doing routes and what they like or dont like in it.
So carry on and good luck with your efforts I'm sure all the train simmers on here will appreciate any route that is produced especially the WCML
Check your bounding boxes on the coaches as they shouldn't get stuck on 10d curves, mine will have to negotiate 6d's
Regards
Don

Wow
Thanks for all the mega encouragement everyone! How can i give up now after that response!!!
Reckon i'll do it in chunks then, as suggested by Chris. What is 90m DEM data? Is it for landscaping ?
Thanks for the tip on the bounding boxes Don! I want to keep the 10d curves if i can, because if i use bigger radius, the station area spreads out further and loses its compact look.
I would like to keep adding to the route, so yes, Willsden to Acton may be possible eventually(as long as i dont crack up before then
) . See how it goes though, first things first ect.
Funny how we also had a 2 year wait for a class 58 cabview, and just as i thought id have a crack at it, Simon townsend was making one for BVE at exactly the same time! Spooky!

Yea, heading out North from Euston, i tink the Slow D.C third rail lines run parrallel to\between the Up and down fast lines up to Primrose hill, then they dive down under the Up fast line and join up with the L.U lines just before Primrose Tunnel. They run along the right hand side and branch off to Willsden then pass under the mainline and come up at wembly on the left hand side
. They run parallel until Bushey were they branch off to Watford high St, then join back up again at Watford. Tricky elmondo, especially in MSTS!

Nothing much really, nowhere near finished though as I'm intending to get to Liverpool, Preston & Manchester eventually (maybe via the West Midlands as well...............), no scenery and to be totally honest, I will probably only use default scenery due to less complications with copyright and I can only create very basic shapes with GMAX like the platforms used in the route.stephenhornsey wrote:Whats holding you back from releasing it Barry, its looks great from the picsI bet hundreds of simmers would love to see it!
Steve
It was created mainly to replicate the traffic seen on the WCML as it's a route I have always wanted to see for MSTS.

Thats whats stopping me from going for it- i havent learnt how to use GMAX (Yet), i havent got any info on track diagrams beyond Euston and i havent got any pics of the Stations along the route
I like laying the track though, no matter how complex. So really, i'm not sure how far i'm gonna get. Cant wait for the day we can plug computers into our brains, then we can just think of a 3d structure and it will instantly load to the hard drive
? Wouldnt fancy Downloading from P.C to Brain though- could end up with a brain that crashes reguarly, or throws up SEND DONT SEND messages!!?
