The MSTS 1 Route Editor can be a beast to use, but it's capable of some amazing results, here you can talk with the wizards that are building some of the fantastic routes available and learn how to make your own.

File ID: 5361 (st pancreas terminus)

Post by danielw2599 »

hi

i was just looking at File ID: 5361 (st pancreas terminus) and i think it looks bloody great :D but i see from the description that it is not finished due to cancelled project :(

what i would like to know is would it still work as it is or will it have to be finished first??

If it does need to be finished, is anyone going to take on this project? it seems a shame to let this great piece of work go to waste!

Well done to the people involved in that project.

Thanks

Dan

Well, it's useable as is, although the texture's a bit bare, and I haven't made the lower wall or truss base textures, and, of course, it's only the trainshed, with no buildings.

It's only got a single LOD as well, at 2000m, so wouldn't be very efficient in a built up area, to say the least!

I've included the gmax file for anybody to finish if they so desire, I'd love to see it completed.

You may or may not have noticed, but I have used 2 of your great St.Pancras models as Liverpool Lime Street on the Crewe to Liverpool route. :D :D

Rest assurred I found a use for it too. It's true. No really, I did. Honestly, I'm not joking... (a few coughs from the otherwise silent audience) hummm...

Seriously though, even as it is it does fill some useful slots - even on non-uk routes too. :)
