changing track altitude

Post by danielw2599 »

hi

is there any way of changing the track altitude other than the mouse.

i only need a slight increase... but with the mouse its either -0.058 or +0.171 and i need it at 0.000

the track all lines up well with no blue lines, but it looks out of place.

thx

Hold down the End Key while you move the mouse, it will slow it right down

Hold down the End Key, and use the arrows on the numberpad, (8 key up, 2 key down) leave the mouse out of it.

Oh? I thought the smallest increment of degree of change of altitude was 0.150.

Maybe you can try shortening the track piece with the least slope, and lengthen the adjoining flat piece so that the two tracks meet better visually. Or, vice versa, i.e., lengthening the least slope, shorten the flat.

On the Peak Line I adjusted the gradient's of the track to be exactly what they should be, for 1 in 90 they are 0.573 and not 0.600 which is what RE would have you think was the closest you could get. :)

to adjust the Gradient's in "Fine" mode press and hold the END key then adjust the gradient using the 8 and 2 key's on the numpad.

One note, if you can not get the exact gradient you want, eg 573, goto 450 and rotate up, this will either land you on 573 or 572/4, or go to 600 and rotate down which should land you on 573. :)

It is very fiddly when you are working to the exact gradient. :)

Some of my route was built that way, most is +- .005 on gradient's. :)
