Does anyone know of a set of inset tracks: the sort found burried in roads or quaysides? I have done a file library and forum search .They have an inner check rail to keep the flangeway clear, so it isn`t really enough to just bury standard track.
(Ideally UKFS compatible!)
Thanks, Rick

The C15PS NWC Route uses Quayside track on the Holyhead Breakwater Railway, which is built using UKFS.

Re: Inset (Quayside) tracks
Thanks very much for the helpful info. I should have said "freeware", and I`m not sure of NWC status .
I trawled through the t section for shapes, turning up several possibilities: even German , but they don`t quite fit the bill.
It looks like I will either have to settle for standard track, or make some new track shapes .
Thanks, Rick

Try some of the continental sites for tramway track.
Some of these have built in road surfaces.

Re: Inset (Quayside) tracks
Thanks Ian, I will have another look at the continental sites.
The Quay line is a little tricky as it is shares the roadway. I could just make it trains only, but it would be nice to share it with vehicles. Trouble is the pesky train track swaps from one side of the road to the other! I might get away with cars only on the outer paths of a 4 lane road. I can also see trouble at the "no gate" level crossings because the car bounding boxes are always made too short. I will have to experiment: most likely the track database will Pop! Do the tramway routes mix trains and cars?

Re: Inset (Quayside) tracks
A bit of progress. I`ve set the railway lines into road sections: in other words there are separate road and track sections. MSTS seems quite happy about this, and it gives maximum flexibility in arranging the roads and rails. A slight problem is keeping the road just below the rail tops as RE displays differently to the Sim. Also a wrong terrain level makes the roads go transparent.
I`ve made a few replacement track shapes, and to my suprise the extra check rails don`t show very much! As these are custom shapes they are aliased (substituted for standard track) using Tim Booth`s exciting new Dynatrax utility. Hats off to all track creators - I`m finding it jolly tricky!
Vehicles have had their bounding boxes increased to 10m in the Carspawner.dat, so they (mostly) clear trains at ungated crossings. There is just room for cars on the outer paths of a 4 lane road with trains in the middle.
