Don is hoping to get it packaged up and sent off to Matt & Peter, by the end of this month.
Well done Don and the team - a nice early Xmas present for us all! :D

Don't bank on a Christmas release Danny, it just depends if Matt & Peter can check it all out in time, but it would be nice if they could get it done for then.
It is a BIG route and with the Train Set included will take up a fair bit of space on the DVD. I don't think it will be put up as a download, unless it is split up into several files.

SCP Route

Well after almost two years, the SCP is finally to be packaged up before the end of Oct. There are just a few things to tidy up and then it will be put together ready for putting on DVD and getting it to Peter & Matt.

I have put together two short Tram activities at Glasgow Central, a two part Rosyth Dockyard activity and finally a half hour Forth Bridge Recovery activity, which will let you see the Firth of Forth close to, whilst travelling slow across the bridge.

I have made a two part video of this activity, which run for just under 10 mins each which you can see below.
You will be able to run this yourself once the SCP is released.

Hi There,

The trainset is finished.

It Is BIG :o

There are still locomotion models that need to be built for the route, with luck this wil keep interest in the route ongoing.

I must publicly thank Martin Pope for his help completing this task as it was getting on top of me at times.

Rick Gibb has prepared some excellent Engfiles for the locos making each type different to drive, Thanks mate.

Ian macmillan has prepared and updated load of wagons for us, It must have taken ages. Thanks mate

The future should bring first the D11/2's to be followed as time permits, N15 0-6-2T, J37 0-6-0 Freight, C15/16 4-4-2T.

I have also submitted 5 activities for the DVD release.

can I put my feet up now please

Scottish Central Plus

On behalf of the SCP Team, I would just like to thank all those involved in bringing this long awaited route to fruition, especially Don for all the work he has put in, in expanding this route and getting it workable.

Mick too, who has put together one of the best Trainsets ever done for a particular route and to all those involved in making and testing all the activities included. Not forgetiing Kerr Mckintosh for the original Scottish Central, from which the SCP has grown to more than 400 route miles.

I would also like to thank Ian Macmillan for his wonderful wagons which have been specially reskinned for the SCP, and not forgetting all those who have contributed many objects, which has made the scenery for this route. There are far too many to list here but without your help this route would not have been possible. Please read the Readme File which is included with the route, which describes it in full and all the credits, listing those who have contributed.

I have now left it in the capable hands of Don who will be packaging it up any day now, so that Peter & Matt can get it ready for distribution, which will only be avaible on DVD as it is far too large to be downloaded with its trainset, needed to run all the activities.

As Mick has stated in his previous post, it is now time for ust to put our feet up and await the release of this long awaited route. But before I sign off.

I hope that you will all enjoy it and hope that many of you will make more activities for it. There is plenty of scope for all types of activities, because of the huge number of industrial complexes which adorn this route.

Thought this might be of interest....The Forth Bridge yesterday. Looking as it should do at last, without scaffolding and protection canopies obscuring it's natural lines....the paintwork is supposed to last for 20 years now before repainting is necessary.

This route is really worth waiting for. In fact, I have been playing all the activities included with Kerr's original Scottish Central so that I will be able to see how much further Geoff, Don and company have taken the new version.

Now that picture of the Forth Bridge would make a great Load Screen for the route ?
