Whoever is plopping the scenery in, I've a new set of textures for the telegraph poles, makes them look far more reaistic. Give us a PM if you want them. A Dead simple installer will find and upgrade them with a couple of clicks ;)

Both Don & I are plopping the scenery in, as you put it, I'll have a word with Don to see what he thinks. Thank's for the offer.

Latest Update News for SCP

I thought it was time to bring you the latest progress on the SCP. The scenery from Dunbar in the south right into Edinburgh Waverly is now complete. The southern approaches to Waverly has been vastly improved with extra city buildings as you enter the outskirts of Edinburgh. Don is working on the section from Thornton Junction down as far as Rosyth and will be adding the extra station at Dunfermline, so that both will be featured.

The best news though, which will be an added bonus for this version 1 of the SCP, will be the addition of Edinburgh Princess St Station. This will allow LMS regional trains leaving Glasgow Central, to enter Edinburgh at Princess St. It means quite a few more miles of track laying and more scenery to add, but it will give the activity creators more options for using LMS regional trains including the mighty Coronations & Princess Royals. I suggested to Don that it would be nice to include Carstairs, where north bound trains coming up from Carlisle, used to spit for Glasgow & Edinburgh, but this would mean a lot more route milage, and would need to include Motherwell, so we are leaving this section for now. Maybe we can include this in Version 2.

I hope to be able to put up a few more screen shots soon and maybe a few more videos of the Dunbar to Waverley section, so watch this space within the next weeks or so. :D :D :D

Notice the change to my signature, I will pobably be working on V2 of the SCP when V1 is finished, so British Tramway Networks will more than likely be started as well.

That's the spirit, Geoff and Don - start thinking about v2 long before v1 is complete! Not being a LMS specialist, I am not sure of the significance of including Edinburgh Princess St. but it is obviously a good thing!

Princess Street was the Caledonian's Mainline station in Edinburger Doc, the rival to Waverley. :)

Have a look here.

Nice...

...and where will I be able to drive trains from Princes Street?

I suspect Glasgow Central via Shotts is out of the question... probably also Carstairs? (and certainly Carlisle)

So must I join the NBR route to Falkirk? (before being able to regain CR metals ...and where from there?)

Or are we just thinking suburban here to Barnton, Leith and so on?
Regards
