Hi There,

For Your Use

British Rail 8F 48094 as allocated to Warrington 8B 1957-1962 and perhaps longer.

Uploaded today and I thought I would offer you some screenshots so you can see what you are going to get.

I didn't get any feedback whatsoever on 48196 so I have made this thread specially for 48094 to jog you along a bit.

Yet another nice detailed model, Mick. :D

Unfortunately those of us interested in steam are rapidly becoming outnumbered, if you'd modelled a diesel or DMU you'd have been swamped with feedback.

I made a suggestion some time ago that steam should be given it's own forum so that it would help to concentrate the focus of those of us that are interested, but nothing came of it.

Hi Mick,
You know what they say No news is Good news. :-?
Mind you as was posted recenltly. So many who download do not paticipate on the forums. :(

However as you asked. I have download both your latest locos.
Especially like the weathering.
Am I right in thinking the lights do not work due to the way they are interchangable. Something I accepted anyhow.

Thanks for the effort.

Good Luck

good question

the simple answer is as yet...............I have not figured out how to make working lights, but! the lantern lenses should glow in the dark a bit like a candle.

Don't you worry there are many of us diesel/electric afficianados who download steam locomotive models, and who greatly appreciate the fine efforts by yourself and others. Being less than knowledgable about steam locos - other than using a kettle to make my favourite drink of the day namely TEA - I am not in a position to comment on thier accuracy, etc.

My trouble is that I keep putting off the day when I start to learn how to drive steam locos!

In the meantime you create and upload them, and I'll download them. I am currently looking at how to amend 457001 (EMU) into 316999. Only now need to work out where to apply the number - currently assuming it is same place as 457001. I only mention this to show that I want to be able to reciprocate viz-a-viz uploads.

Many thanks, Ruf

Hi Mick

One superb model - in particular (I know it's only a tiny detail but it doesn't half affect the look of a loco) the smokebpx door number plate looks absolutely spot on. So often the numbers seem too large or too small on otherwise splendid locos, and I'm sure the difference in each case is tiny - but when it's right (as here) it brings the whole thing to life. Congratulations !

Cheers

Hey everybody! Somebody asked a good question. No names no pack drill.

Really a candle is not much more light than one would have got anyway, Is it?

Bearing in mind, what I know about all this would go in the perfortions of a postage stamp. :D
I have seen as I am sure you have, the light cones used on station lamps to simulate light at night.
Is there an option there?

Good Luck

Hi Mick,

When it comes to steam loco's your LMS loco's are tops just like Dannys are to Southern Region, with out you 2 us lesser mortals who still remember steam would be lost with out you both, the trouble is we are now becomeing a minority due to age.

I have down loaded all your latest models,as I have to versions of NWC one as it came and the other back dated to the early 1960's,could I possibly ask you to consider doing either a Rebuilt Patriot or Rebuilt Royal Scot,I think a lot of us steam enthusiast would appreciate them.

Well done as soon as it's ready it will be joining my fleet.

Hi Mick

Another steam enthusiast here.

The model looks great, but I hardly ever download stock unless it is in connection with an activity, so unfortunately it's usually the relevant activity writer who gets the credit, and the model maker gets overlooked.

Sorry about that, but please be assured I am grateful to everyone who has the skill, and takes the time and trouble to upload stock. This is especially appreciated now that some of the content creators have moved over to Railworks.

Also, generally the quality of models now being produced is fantastic.

Thanks for all your efforts

I think someone else may be doing a rebuilt Royal Scot but it will not be ready for some time yet.

I have got a fair chunk of the chassis built for a "Lizzie" or Princess Royal Class. Which will be usefull with any route connected to the West Coast Main line.

It takes a fair while to assemble a model. The 8F was started in September last year and was driveable but needing more work by January. The Black 5's were built from some of the 8F components and were a bit quicker to build. The work on these was mainly finished by Easter. Since then I have been playing with textures and completing some activities for Black Country1.

So with a bit of luck provding I can get the Lizzie to run in MSTS, maybe Christmas.
