A while back I did a thread to show progress on the route entitled "Gourock to Port Glasgow". Well, seeing as there's been progress, I felt it was time to do a new thread. Click on the pics if you want to see bigger versions.

Start of the line at Gourock

Bit further along the line at the recently-revamped Greenock West.

Leaving Greenock Central we see a Gourock-bound service.

Moving on down the line a bit, two shots of Port Glasgow.

Woodhall.

Langbank.

Approaching Bishopton we pass a Wemyss Bay service.

Waiting at Bishopton station.

Busy day on the M8.

Passing Glasgow airport as a plane comes in to land.

Paisley St James.

Views of Paisley Gilmour Street.

Arkleston Junction.

Heading towards Hillington we pass an Ayr-bound service.

Hillington West

Hillington East.

End of the line for now. Once the Paisley area is tidied up, work will begin on Cardonald station.

Hope you like the pics,

Niall

Niall, I certainly like the pictures, particularly running into Port Glasgow and the cab monitor. As for the technique of route building, well I'm just amazed.

You must be able see well into the future then!

Was working out how much needs to be done:

A) Finish off the Gourock-Glasgow section (At some point, I'll want to re-do Gourock, Fort Matilda, Greenock Central & Cartsdyke as I'm more skilled at stations than I was back when I started).

B) Do the spur from Port Glasgow to Wemyss Bay.

C) Do the Paisley Canal line.

AND

D) Re-visit all the v2 sections and bring them up to a similar standard of the v3 extension. Pointless doing all this work on the extension and not re-doing the older parts of the route.

Ie.

1) Argyle line from Exhibition Centre to Rutherglen.
2) Glasgow to Carfin.
3) Cathcart Circle and Newton line.
4) Mainline Glasgow to Carlisle.
5) Short spur Carlisle to Gretna.

Sundaypm has been very helpful by working on a few stations for me and it's helping a lot that a few other authors have been gracious enough to donate items or give permission for scenery use. But it's a hard slog.

If anyone wants to help with this project, ideally either helping by modelling a few stations, or donating scenery items, please get in touch. Many hands make light work and all that.

The biggest challenge will be all the Island platforms of the Circle line and trying to get that city feel without killing the frame rates.
