G2CV3 Progress shots

Post by NiallGray »

Back into the route editor this week, a few progress shots for anyone interested.

In the style of Jesse from The Fast Show, 'This week I 'ave mostly been eating...up the miles between Gourock and Glas-gow!'

Bishopton progress is slow, but I have been having more success a few miles up the line at Paisley St James.

This is how the station looked when I took over.

Early progress shot. The platforms and footbridge have been replaced, fencing is going in, the pathway (not visible) is now on the correct side of the station and some vegetation added.

Station almost finished, needs a little signage. When I go back into it next weekend, I'll hope to finish off the surrounding scenery and begin working my way back to Bishopton past Glasgow airport.

Finally, just some random screengrabs from some act testing I've been doing.

Regards,

Niall

Looks like some great work Niall, I look forward to having a drive on V3 (slowly learning about the required EMU's! ).

Thanks guys. It's tough work on your own but am getting there. Thankfully, sundaypm is helping with some of the complex stations and a couple of great surprises in store!

You've got loads of time, Clay!

Today I've been adding speed limits to spur lines (so you don't race along at the default 125mph!) and have also added a couple of signals in Polmadie depot and the carriage sidings. I found no exit signal on the Western end of Polmadie a problem in V2 so have added one. I'm aiming to test the route this week and backed the route up before adding the signals.

I take no credit for Paisley Gilmour Street, all the excellent work of Sundaypm (who also made the Port Glasgow model).
