Hi all
A few years ago, France had a few military camps all over Germany.
Every week end, numbers of trains brought back soldiers to France for a few days off in family.
These services were generally composed of all coaches.
Today, we'll follow one of these trains. The loc is a class 218 and coaches are old French USI/UIC. The route is Rübelandbahn.
Hope you liked the shots
Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul
Nice shots.
The British ran trains through the Berlin corridor too.

Hi Jon
Thanks for the comment. Actually, these shots are not that old. The period is more around the end of the nineties, and the train is typical of that time. France still had a few camps in Germany then, even if the WWII was over long ago.
I think these camps were mainly for training purpose, and I think that there are now all closed. At least, such trains doesn't exist anymore.
Cheers
Paul

Here is our train waiting the departure time.
And we leave the station...
Through the countryside
A road crossing
First stop
We leave the train here. It will continue its trip to Strasbourg during the evening and will leaving the soldiers in the middle of the night in their hometown.
