I only came across this the other day, normally don't like the Kihas.




























Theres a problem with the eng file..... but got it running with a fiddle.

Hey that was digging deep Jon,
Looks like the .eng file somehow became truncated ...
Not sure where I'll use it, so onto the backup disk !
Notice it had a reasonable Passenger view, like a good Passenger view,

If payware is an option http://www.contact-simulations.com/acat ... WORLD.html has "Japanese Routes" as an add on, it's a few years old now but comes with two routes and 7 different types of trains.
I dug my copy out and one drawback is it states it prefers a clean install it may not work with the latest T Section.dat and it was released before MSTS Bin patch, I'll try and load it back on my system tomorrow and see if it works.

Yes be careful, as I believe it has to have its own Tsection.
I have an Italian route that does the same, its not a problem if you remember to swap it back afterwards.

Couldn't you get round this by creating a Mini Route? I do remember that the disc got very mixed reviews.

Yes, or you can set up Train Store to swap Tsections.
I personally think the routes will look rather dated.

I've always assumed that other sims and game boxes were the cause of lack of interest in MSTS in Japan. After all they started with 33% of the original routes dedicated to them. I'm not sure how into FS they are? As a nation they've produced loads of superb graphic work so you'd have thought the idea would have caught on more.

Still nice shots Jon and at least it shows that someone's putting those skill to work. The route is available at Amazon for £9-£10 and there's one review. Main criticism is lack of activities although I'm sure Jon's right about it looking dated now. There's been so much advance on the artwork, scenery and route building front since 2003.

Still if anyone has it some screenies would be good? There used to be a review on a site that reviewed loads of routes and that had screenies but I can't remember the link..... if it still exists?

I would appreciate some shots of the add-on too.
It seems that TS isn't that popular in Japan, compared to BVE or other simulator they have over there. The few stocks they seem to have produced looks rather good, so should have been the routes. Shame they didn't arrived in Europe except for this payware add'on...

Well I did reload it and as it said on the box it doesn't seem to want to play, the other routes I've got loaded still work but trying to load Japanese Routes send a note to Uncle Bill.

I'll see if i can get a clean load MSTS on another drive or get Route Riter to create a mini route, give me a couple off days and I'll get some shots up if I can.
