Hi
I know I go on about the Russian locos........... but this latest one is outstanding.
Nearly fully engine room modelling.
I really think even MSTS2 has got to go abit.

Hey Jon,
How did you access the inside view of 2TE10uT,
I was only able to access it by reconfiguring the cab headout view.
Would be good as a passenger view,
Regards Ross
Thanks Jon,
Passenger view works well,
Understand the concept of the passenger view and have changed them in Photoshop, seat colours etc,
Previously read the steam4me tutorial but it doesn't stick ..
Maybe need a tutorial like Ali's Night cab tutorial for all us duffers
The Russian locos are extremely good hey.
Regards Ross
One of the odd things that strikes me is the strange 'steering wheel' control - I'm not sure what it does in the loco, BUT...
I think it must be one of the most dangerous things around....
Consider this....
The loco driver sits in the cab all day, subconsciously using the 'steering wheel' to do whatever it does in the loco cab, then at the end of the day gets out of his loco cab, and into his car, and ......................subconsciously uses the steering wheel to do whatever it did in the loco cab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder just how many loco drivers have big car accidents on their way home!!!!!!!!!!! Just a thought!!!!!!!!!

"Any railway that paints their locomotives such a magnificent shade of red, must be the most superior in the land" (apologies to the late David Jenkinson).
Hi Brian
Its the throttle, although its not just peculiar to Russian locos.
I would guess more that three quarters of the all the worlds diesel and electric locomotives use this type of handle, in one form or the other.
The only UK loco I know about , which had a wheel, was the Metropolitan Co-Bo.
I think some early prototype shunter's may have had rotary controls.
They also built some Bo-Bo s for Ireland, which were later re-engined, not sure if the controls were altered at that time.
Cheers
Jon
