Will the 101 have 'decent' sounds?

Well if it doesn't Richard the solution is here in the library if you're up for some tweaking and aliasing  Trouble is many nowadays don't "believe" 1st Generation DMU's were so torturous through the gears..... and when I travel in my local 450 Desiro's nowadays I can see that the old 117's I used to travel in would seem like biplanes to the airbus generation..

Geoff

PS good to see a new model of the 101 too. Like 'em or loathe 'em they were the mainstay of many routes back in the day

Most (if not all) of the locos were made by Daryn Dunkley (DarkAngel) and the 101 is by Dave Babb (Buffy500)
Wagons (not screenshotted) are by Chris Heighton (MorpethCurve)

I would second the request for some steamcab screenshots.

This is MT's first (shortish) steam route and while the scenery looks superb and the steam motive power looks very tempting I wonder if some more info on the 'custom sounds' and a sneak view of the 'custom cabs' would convert some waverers (like me) into decided purchasers!

I honestly thought GE wouldn't be topped, but it looks like MT have surpassed themselves! Loving the 8F and the Ivatt 4 in particular.

I am £20 lighter, roll on 21st!

ps some cabview shots would be much appreciated

Metrobus - this is starting to sound a little like a "demand" for cabview shots, which would be unreasonable. You need to calm down , show some patience, and appreciate that the guys making this route are doing so in their own time and have more important things to do (like getting the route ready for release). It'll be released shortly so you won't have long to wait.

Relax! If they're half as good as the loco's they'll be a breath of fresh air! ....If they're rubbish the Loco's still look excellent ....and if they're brillant they'll be aliased to loads of decent freeware stuff and we'll all be very happy bunnies?

Just be chuffed..... did you like that   that MT are now taking Kettles seriously ...at last....

Geoff

PS missed your post writing this Ash  and as you say we'll all know when we purchase the route.... which I'm pretty sure we all will?

Good job you can open a "virtual window" on the old Metro-Cammell stock, unlike today's plastic stuff! :P

Really looking forward to this as I think it'll be a bit special!

 Too right! All this fuss about emissions nowadays..... They should have commuted from Paddington with me back in the 70's! The DMU's used to line up on the suburban platforms and all had their motors running continuously. You almost got asphyxiated just getting down on to the platforms! On a still hot Summer day when windows were opened to relieve the heat the exhaust fumes used to fill the carriages too. Not at all pleasant.

I seem to remember those DMU's used to get just a bit warm as well.
