Just nit picking here, but why were the stephenson locomotive socity using non-stephenson locomotives?

Going by the pictures I've seen of SLS tours, the locos and stock were provided by BR therefore the locos used would be sheded nearby. Obviously in this case, the tour was on WR territory, so WR locos were the ones available for use. Can't back this up though, although it is noteworthy that the society was named after Stephenson rather than being set up in appreciation of his work.

"Bala" is one of THE greats and I look forward to the routes re-release. Any updates on progress?

Indeed, only notice two differences, the real tour had panniers 4645 and 8761, I see Chris has used 7714 as the first. The other thing is the headboard which actually should read SLS Special, not just SLS.

Still, not always possible to get everything exactly right, as I found out with my 40145 model whilst trying to recreate "The East Anglian".

Doubt that the panniers worked all the way from Ruabon.
Bunkers would not hold enough coal to go all that distance.

Ah but they did Ian, I watched the video, that's where the inspiration came from.
