With sun back in France and the end of the school termtime coming, the time of what we call "classe verte", green classes, is back. These green classes are camps where children and teachers are going for one or two weeks, usually in the countryside, at the seaside or in the mountains, at the end of the year.
The surroundings of the Douce France were rather famous a few years ago for their beautiful landscapes and their many camps.
During this period, a few special services bringing children from Paris used the local train route
Here is one of these services, going to Arleuf

The train is snaking in the curves of this small line

At this first stop, the first children are alighting. They'll take a bus to their camp

The train then leaves the station

A small farm besides the tracks

This is a very beautiful area, with mountains and water

These special trains were made with the available coaches. Today a very old "Est" coaches is part of the train, with 4 USI coaches

Another stop

These locs, BB66000, often work by pairs

End of the journey for today. Next part soon...
Cheers
Paul
