Wanted to see how the "new generation" of 47`s stood up to the original series of last year.Very nice indeed, even dug out the old cabviews and sounds. :D :D

Even though it chokes me to say it, that really is a super looking engine. Would be even better in 60s green though....

Totally agree Martin,60`s two-tone would be splendid. There are some of the older 47`s reskinned in green, but without the nice shiny finish, this one has. 8)

The bloke who lived over the road from my parents had an old Austin Cambridge in what I think of now as class 47 two-tone green. Anyone remember that car colour? Very distinctive.

Bit difficult to get photorealistic textures of an engine painted that scheme now though :(

A good friend of mine has 3 Cambridges, none in two tone green though, might be able to find out the colour scheme.

Although i dont drive from the cab view much, i must say that i cant see much wrong with this loco. Its just as good as todays creations (if that is what u mean by compare). The cab is a good attempt but it does looka might odd. Not the fact that its made from actual fotos (im assuming), but that its got loads of dodgy and wierd lines all over it.

Apart from that its great.

The biggest problem i have it making realistic consists. Im not to knowledged in the name department and so looking thru lists of engine numbers and coach codes makes it hard for me to put the right things together. Im sure i have the right stock. Just not the right knowledge about them :/ hehe

Thats not the cabview that came with the loco, mate. Its an old one i used. The dodgy lines are caused by my so called top of the range Geforce4 Ti4600 128DDR vid card in conjuction with nvidia driver v40.41

Aint life a bitch. :P :P :P

Hi Mike

How are you doing?

I am very impressed with Ollies re-skins of the 47, they remind me a bit of my re-skins of James Hunts class 37s and also reminded me that instead of doing a re-skin the hard way why not do it the really hard way!
This inspired me to apply the same technique to a class 56 which I have posted below.

Very well done to Ollie

Hi IKB

Yes it willbe released, this is just what I knocked up yesterday so it needs some fine tuning and a couple of body mods, there might even be 20 new HAAs :fist: for it to pull if I can make sense of all of the new files!

Cheers
