Warship almost ready

Post by johndibben »

<IMG width="1024" height="768" SRC="http://album.atomic-systems.com/showPic ... D800_3.jpg">

D800 'Sir Brian Robertson' in original livery.

Handrails still to be added plus a 'Cornish Riviera Express' headboard.

With *5* textures on one side alone the name and emblem are clearly depicted.

Despite being only my second model and my own worst critic, I'm quietly pleased how it has turned out.

It will now go to my M&EE for testing and will hopefully be uploaded next week :)

Cheers

Very nice, looking forward to it, are you planning any blue ones?

Cheers,

Excellent and yes a blue one as mentioned would be nice. Can i just mention or request a western class 52 to these standards if you get any spare time, just a thought as yove worked hard on this one and yes the warship front end is very hard to do as i had one in o gauge and could not get it right.Any way well done with this and look forward to it.

Personally I would like a maroon (D817 Foxhound) and a green version (D820 Genville) both with half yellow warning panel (I know you have pics for their names and numbers John ;)).

Frighteningly realistic,i can hear the racket now standing in the engine compartment (no ear defenders in those days). ;-)

Thanks everyone :P

Approval from IKB .... can't top that .... better retire now

Thw windows were the hardest thing to get right .... the nose has been done *3* times :-?

There's still a bit of an edge at the front as you can see.

I've just noticed from the screenshot that the interior needs a bit more work.

Any road up shouldn't be too long now :)

Next:

Green with route indicators

Green with yellow warning panels

Maroon with warning panels

Blue with full yellow ends (arrows either end)

Blue with full yellow ends (arrows in the middle)

As for other WR models .... I would dearly like to do a Western, Original Warship, Class 22 and a Hymek :-?

Coaching stock is a bit lacking .... I pulled the one's shown down last night and are some of Ian's older models reskinned.

Some more chocolate and cream Mk1's and 'Hawksworths' would very nice.

I've plans of all of the above including the 'Hawskworths' :)

As you learn you get quicker but I don't know where to start .... any ideas :-?
Cheers

Can I just add my approval as well. The warship nose is awkwardly curved, you've done a good job on it.

Are there going to be cabs and sounds for it? I hate the Dash9 and Gp38 cabs as they are right hand-driven. Maybe someone could do a reverse cabview for them so it would be left hand-driven.
