That's a brilliant re-skin you've achieved, it reminds me of the Colwick allocation (Nottingham 40E) 9F's that were seen every day on the 'Great Central' pulling the Windcutters trains between the Notts/Yorkshire coalfields and London, as well as pulling the many Iron Ore trains required when we were still a Steel manufacturing nation.

It would be nice to see the, often forgotten about, 'Dub Dee' 8F given the similar treatment, as these were the mainstay Motive Power for Coal & Iron Ore trains before the 9F's came on the scene, memories, memories.

Yes, but no steam leaks so there's life in the old thing yet!

Hi Dee4141,

the 9F looks superb, just what I had in mind with the limescale dribbling down the boiler casing......................................mmmmmmm............nice.

I was looking at a photo of 92153 at Stenson Junction in 1960, it was in a similar condition then. It seems externally 9F's were uncared for, yet superb workhorses.

I am looking forward to having a play with it.
