Music, anyone?

Post by fadedGlory »

I just uploaded this street organ:

It comes with a tune (over one minute long), basically an MP3 converted to a .wav. That explains the humongous file size, the model itself is only a few polygons.

It is easy to add other tunes, I have a set of five or six, but they are all 1 to 2 Mbytes big, even after compression. If you like it, let me know and I'll upload them as expansion packs. It is simple to make the organ play a random pick from the play list.

yeah i think that would be a good idea, i have downloaded the organ and have tried it out and think that it is a nice addition but think that a few different tunes would add some needed variety, nice job though.

If it's fairground type music and install by an ordinary sound source in RE then go ahead and upload them, they could be used with the funfair/big top on tr**n-s*m.c*m or outside a pub.

Just a thought but for a modern route you could record some of that really dreadful house/garage type racket and have it playing from flats beside the railway line. Or at a level crossing so it seems to be coming from the Escort XR3i or Golf GTi driven by the local gangsta. OK, I hate modern music(sic), so flame me.

Hahaha

Anyway, the expansion pack is there now.

I have three more tunes, if there is demand I'll upload those as well (I might slip in a Linkin Park song just to annoy Saddletank :) )

Thats OK, I'll put the sound source and the organ on the track and drive trains over it - very satisfying :)

I cannot stand modern music either. You are not alone!
