Dave Roles's(Kerry) Inner Suburban Class 455 Workings

Post by coxy64 »

Hi Everyone

Just a couple of shots featuring Dave Roles's latest creation a Class 455
in Blue Grey and NSE Livery.
This was converted from the recent Class 317 release.

The Route is James Hunt's Modern England build 3 with the Overhead Wires
and Gantries removed, also a drawn 3rd Rail texture added to give the feel.

Also added Dave's Southern Region Station and Signal Boxes which reploace the default Settle ones.

Looks great, I've two pictures with the GO-Via livered 455's.

One thing missing though, and thats the horns at the top, well the SWT 455's don't look like 455's at all as they have thier horns underneath the cab.
Also, some 455's (SWT in particular) have had thier pantograph removed and the 'flat-top' still in place. Thought I'd mention it in case you are editing the EMU in anyway, keep up the good work.

Who does the permisson go to for re-paints?

Hi Edmund,

Permission for all repaints will go to the model builder, in this case it's Ben Laws (steelixb), then I am not sure if you need any further permission, the textures for this model have been completely redrawn by me, but you must still have the model owners permission if you want to release the model, as you know Edmund the 455's have many variations ( 455/7/8/9's) and then all the different liveries adds up to a lot of models and painting :) to edit the model as in this case the air horns and the motor coach underslung equipment you need the kind co-operation of the model builder, I wonder if Ben knew how many models his original class 321 would create, thanks goes to him for opening up the possibility of so many more classes of Emu's.

Thanks for you comments Edmund, if there is enough demand for these 455's then I will seek Ben's permission to upload :D
Dave.

Some of the SWT 455's look like 150's from the front.

Put 10 votes next to my name, I'd like to see the 455's out on UKTS.

I'm not quite sure which ones have horns on the top, so if anyone does a repaint and need the newer version of the 455, without the horns, I'll send it via e-mail :)
