Highworth Revisited 2 - 1912 Shunting at the Nitrate works

Post by decapod »

Metro No 5 leaves at Swindon at 10 to shunt the Gunpowder (very carefully!) at the nitrate works.

Heading east down the main line.

Almost there...

So is the Highworth route close to being released soon?

Unfortunately I'm out of the loop these days, I'm not sure who has the master copy - I'm guessing Matt does.
There are the odd rumblings from time to time about replacement models (which is what stopped it's release) but I've heard nothing about recent progress.

MartinH is currently busily working away on the activities, and AndiS has been working some magic on the physics.

Refman produced a lovely replacement loco.

The route and a stock pack will be released as a download ONLY (not a CD due to copyright as it still contains some of Terry's work), but only once all the activities are finished. Martin seems to be making good progress though but there's still plenty to do.

So yes, work is underway again on it and I think everyone involved is of the opinion that it WILL be released one way or another, it's become a religion now - ya just gotta have faith, yayus.

It looks a lonely little loco in the first shot, all that track on no-one else around.

Good to hear it wasn't all in vain.

Ironically there is no need for the replacement saddletank loco if the route is for download only, as GWR No 13 is already available.
Has anyone replaced the GWR petrol shunter?
