Lincoln Summer Saturday

Post by jbilton »

Hi
On Summer saturdays Lincoln Central was quite busy.
The 1205 Ex Manchester was nearly always a pair of Longsight RATs....on a couple of rare ocassions even a class 24.
They were always taken off, switched off and stabled....after being cabbed by all the lads. :P
They returned about 14.30 to Manchester.

Can't quite do it...because the track layout is different...and Central station still had the large parcel overbridge in the 70s...but its quite close.

Cheers
Jon

Hi Jon,

Hellfire....only wish I was alive at the time to bash it :(

Shouldn't 25221s red lights be lower, as per usual 25's? Can't find any pics of her that show the contrary!

Cracking snaps,

Dave

Which route was this on?
It doesn't look quite like Mid East 3.1 to me, but then again it could just be me. Actually living in Lincoln, (and originally coming form March,) makes me wish I had the knowledge and skills to make this route more realistic.

The route was never originally made to be realistic, merely a representation of the area plus extra's thrown in to enhance activity creation which is why the route is done the way it is (and why it has lasted so long perhaps?), however Mideast plus is coming which will add more realisim on the route plus enhance some of the original area's

Hi Nick
Its Mid East steam version.........which is basically Tim's original superb route...but with steam related addons. Such as water columns and sheds.
Its in the download library.
Unfortunately the tile Lincoln is situated on is already fully loaded, so will not be enhanced by Mid East Plus.
I wish I could build or alter routes... because I think with a bit of 'jiggery and pokery' you could have Central on one tile and St Marks on another.
I believe the other thing missing off ME+ is the Mkt Rasen line.... but this might be added on a later version.
Cheers
Jon
