Lovely model and great shots, but there's still something not quite 'right' about the front, the size of the light clusters etc. (more shadow on the inward sloping front could help, with the clusters picked out with dirt) Best 66 ive seen so far however, have to give some thought to buying this.

Why spend that much when there are 66's as good as this out there.
Just look at that front end detail. Uncle Red, you're a genius.

I say fair play to codrivermike, the 66 shown in his post has the same if not more detail than the MT 66 and it is freeware, I know which I would choose.

The other nice thing about the 66 from MT is the wagons that are included which look really nice and supplement the 66 very well :)

Hi
Well as always....its a free world....and your free to get what you like.
Personally I hate Class 66s full stop.....they are ugly.
But if you're talking about value, then you get £5 worth of Railwave custom sounds, the extra trucks that Steve mentioned, activities.
And I believe there will be additional skins in the future.
Cheers

It's an interesting concept to be sure, downloading a grey 66 and then future skins (a bit like flight sim really) The Railwaves sounds are a bonus if you don't have them, though the Uncle red/blue versions have sounds that are just as good (plus very nice cabs)

Don't get me wrong. I'm not knocking Making Tracks. After their release of Great Eastern they are definately on my christmas card list.

Regarding Johns comment about hating 66's. I know what you mean. They get everywhere. Today though, as I was flying down the M6 over Shap. (In my white van John.) There was a 66 heading northbound at the head of a rake of tanks. By heck, that thing was working for a living.
