Thanks Niall (I'll fix the BR Logo- promise!)

I have had a chat with Matt P and am going to put some tutorials up on this texturing technique if people want them, it will go through a simple way to make shading on models so they look like those Gmax renders you see Gofthick and Mickoo doing, then adding the colours to retain the shading.

I am hoping to get something done up by christmas so you can play over the Holidays

Tim......I hope there's a clean version too.
First time I saw 87001 she was immaculate and brand new at Derby Works open day along with an immaculate MK3 coach, which you could go in.
Up to then I'd only really seen scruffy trains.... I was lost for words, and the impression has stayed in my mind since.

I couldn't agree more... there's something about those mk3s that are spot on... I think its the detail on the roofs that makes it.

Agree that it would be nice to have an ex works loco here and there, but would also love some real weathering on these. The 87s in particular were real workhorses right up to withdrawl with virgin, and were frequently in flaked tatty paint and covered in bugs and some birds that didn't quite make it. During the changeover from IC exec to IC swallow there were a few in a right state, 87015 Howard of Effingham being one that sticks in my mind from many a summer around Oxenholme.

Couple of interesting loco names there.

Should 87023 be pronounced Vero City (two words) since it was owned by Inter City?

87015 was named after Howard the driver.
Each day his wife put ham sandwiches in his lunch box.
The other drivers teased him by asking "What have you got in your sandwiches today Howard?"

He got his name from the reply he gave.

Those 87s and Mark 3s are much better than Pendolinos. Lovely screenshots.
