Trying route building

Post by 47522 »

Hi all,
I have been building a route! :shocked!:
Its nothing special, 100% fictional.

I just thought you might like to see a pic of the progress so far :D

Image

"As i was walking over the bridge at (not thought of a name for the station)i heard the distinct sound of the warning buzzer of a class 66 before it starts up, i crossed over and saw 66506. I managed to get out my camera phone and snap this quick pic just as the engine burst into life!"

Excuse the breath vapor over the pic, i was holding the camera phone close to my face and the weather this morning was bloody cold!

Regards
Matt

The wagons were built by me, as part of E-Rail and i think will be uploaded as freeware.

(The route has nothing to do with E-Rail personal project)

Thanks for the kind comments

eeeek, my bad  sorry Pete!
At home today with conjunctivitis, I didn’t know it messed about with your brain/reading skills!

About the points  I’ve only just worked out what track pieces make a crossover and how to place them.
They start just behind the bridge.
I’m still playing around, I kinda like the idea of say a unit coming in, dumping its passengers off and running out of the station to come back down into one of the roads in-between the platforms. Another unit then comes in and they swap :-?
Not sure how AE will cope with that mind you!

Thanks all for the kind comments I appreciate it

Kind regards
Matt

I just remembered that I have a pic of the station end showing how the lines work.
A kind workman let me use his ladder.
He told me that the station main building is being rebuilt as much of it dates back to the early 1930s. Only in the last year has the track work been relayed.

I'm not sure what the number of the 66 was as the number seems to have been scratched off. I wasn't allowed up to look at the name as parts of the station have been labelled unsafe!
