Nice pics, pity only Orion is the right way round :D :D

On that subject, as you may have read in the latest edition of Steam Railway magasine, that the W&L is considering to sell Orion. If so, she will not be in this country much longer. This is a real shame as she is a very capable engine, if only if she were in fine fettle.

Well, I don't know much about the railway, so I just put them anyway, but I'll turn them round for tomorrow.

And that is a shame that Orion might be leaving, I'll have to run her a few more times.

Basically all W&L engines face Llanfair with the exception of Dougal, owing to the fact that the Golfa Bank is the longest and steepest continous gradient.

Orion is too Heavy for the W&L which has a maximum axle load of 8tons while that of Orion is closer to 9.5tons. All attempts to reduce this has either increased the weight on th pony trucks, causing excessive wear on the bearings or caused her to be very light footed.

Very fine pics, but who was naughty and put the Dilemma on a passenger train?! I for one wouldn't want to go down Golfa on that train! And Earl1, I will see you next Wednesday morning - bring your matches as mine are all wet. Patrick
