Yeah, i didn't know where this goes, so here it is.

Obviously not going into any games, this is a render of 1163 "whitehead".

Below is the only reference picture (looking at you Paul), and the model in it's current form.

Focused mainly on the buffers so far, going to add the shape of the front of the boiler next.

Afraid not, got pulled under by exams, however i'm working on a new loco which is in the MRTS forum.

What program is that.
and can you gat a program that will render gamx models like that!? because that is really really good!

That's 3DS Max, Gmax's older brother so to speak.

It's a professional modelling program and very expensive, i got it through a college license luckily.

As for importing gmax models into it, i've never heard of it being done and i don't know how you could.

Started texturing the model, below is a close up of the buffers that have been textured, and the model in it's current state of texturing.

Gmax models can be exported reasonably straightforwardly into 3dsmax.

Gmax models can also be rendered using Yafray and a couple of plugins.

Mickoo has posted a few renders of gmax models using the above workflow.
