Here we can see a Ivatt Class 2 on a freight working, interchanging freight from and to the High Peak line, as long wheelbased locos were prohibited south of Friden.

And here's why: The J94's and train negotiate the deadly Gotham Curve, which banned big locomotives from working on the CHPR.

The train stops at Longcliffe, awaiting the transferral of Train Staff, and for a photo stop.

Through the woods, in the valley is the town of Wirksworth, but it's a misty day.... :D

After passing over the main Wirksworth to Cromford road, the train skirts the bottom of the Black Rocks.

After the short journey, the loco and train arrive at Sheep Pasture Top.

The loco poses next to the Sheep Pasture engine house, built by Cokecan Bodell. The passengers will then walk down the Sheep Pasture incline and then join the motor coach to take them to Cromford Station.

Wee bit of advice - CHPR17.jpg - whatever you have done with the texturing on the scenery shapes in that cutting, run ReMipIt on them to cure that white "bleeding" effect.
