Rogers Pass

Don't normally take screenshots on view #3, but this route sort of calls out for big ones.

Engines and stock are good too.

The only problem is the fact that the engines have no glass - a fix is available, using freightanim, but the choice is crew or glass - seems a bit of a shame. That aside though, the engines are nice, and the red does kind of show up well... ;)

yes it is a good route isnt it, say i didnt take much notice of the lack of glass i was looking at the expressions of the assistant engineer, who look uncanningly like George W Bush, from a certain angle.

size of the crew figures gives a good impression of how big those engines are.

oh believe me those AC4400-9W's (Dash9) and SD90MACsare big standing at ballast level at rochelle illinios watching a quartet of UP ones together thumping the track at 50MPH on a vey long manifest, they are Huge you can just about see the train crew at ground level, the platform at rochelle is mainly for photographers to get a 3/4 straight on shot of them as wide angle lenses are a must at ground level unless you videoing them.

Best place for Railroading rochelle is, the traincrew are quite friendly too, give em a wave they'll give you a toot, even though there blowing all day long there are 4 road crossings aroung the site.

SD45-2's have a very sad mournful tone to there horn only saw one leading a train the rest were helpers while i was there
