Reminds me of a painting by Terence Cuneo called "Into the '80s." It shows the then new APT leaving Euston flanked by trains through the ages including a LMS Pacific (Duchess of ???) with the "Royal Scot" A Stirling single, a LMS diesel (number 1000) and a LMS compound 4-4-0 amongst others. If anyone has the book "The Railway Paintings of Terrence Cuneo", it's on page 74/75.
Gary.
