Foxfield shunting

Post by codrivermike »

Having just downloaded the activity "a days shunting" I decided to substitute 08 diesel power. Even then, a maximum of 5 loaded wagons was all that it could get up the bank.
The only thing I found with the activity was that it started too late in the day at 3pm. By the time I'd got most of my work done it was going dark. So, rather than saving the activity and it obviously still being dark when I reloaded it, I parked the shunter, left the sim running and went to bed. Came back to it today just as it was coming light and finished the job. All the coal is down at Blythe Bridge and all the empties are in the screening plant.
It's a fantastic and very open ended activity on a fantastic route.

Hi Wookey

It is a great Route and very challenging indeed getting up the hill from the coal mine and then stopping after you get over the hill with sanding on/full reverse and full braking!!!

I just love the coal mine side especially the working head gear and the overhead coal skips moving along.

Well done and thanks for the great Route.

Kindest Regards

Mike
