Is 3217 in steam again? The SVR ought to arrange with the Blubell for her to visit Kidderminster as the Dukedogs did run on the SVR in the 40s.senileus wrote:Come and see the real thing on the Bluebell Railway, even if it pulls Metropolitan or SR coaches rather than GWR

B. I think they tried to last year, but the Bluebell said no so Birch Grove went intead. Personally, I'd like to see her main line certified and pulling Arriva's Cambrian Coast Expresses-but I doubt that will happen any time soon.

It won't - according to Arriva (I've been e-mailing them as they're using one of my pics as a publicity shot for 2006). Only engines will be the $MT and, maybe a Manor, as in Steam Railway.

NR shouldn't have too much of an issue. A 9F is cleared for the cambrian due to its length, meaning its weight is on more spans of the bridge!
