From the excellent link you quoted.

September

05 - British airman Douglas Bader dies.
08 - Daley Thompson wins European Championship decathlon in Athens.
14 - Princess Grace of Monaco dies in car crash.
.......Beirut: President elect of Lebanon, Bashir Gemayel is killed in bomb attack.

It was in the January....and yes it was a very cold day.

Cheers

:D Nice set of shot's Martin.

I've been extending my premium membership by buying CD's for a good few months now. Not much of an effort at only £4.50 and without a single "Dud" amongst them. Trouble is I've got nearly all of them now and was wondering how the Deltics stood up to some of the latest models. Well as far as I'm concerned your shots sell the CD for me.

One historical point arising from the shots.

I found a chronology of BR liveries once (It's posted here somewhere) and although it gives dates for the introduction and end of various livereies it doesn't go into detail like what loco liveries would have been seen with what coach liveries. For example your shots show a two tone green loco hauling a set of BG coaches. Would this have actually happened? I know there was a gradual repaint of all stock and that sets of coaches of many colours made up trains at various transitional stages since WWII. The Deltics were a small (in number) class of loco's but by there very use must have been worked pretty hard. Were they all repainted in a short time frame or was it a very gradual process?

Doubtless you can recommend a book (or 50  ) with decent colour shots of the object of your affection?

My only regret is that I didn't order the CD yesterday when I bought the Springfield route.

First blue Deltic was October 1966, last Deltic into blue was November 1969.
Millions of photos exsist of green Deltics and blue & grey coaches.

Hi
Yes...but most had received full yellow ends earlier.

http://www.napierchronicles.co.uk/1969.htm

Still retaining green livery D9014 "THE DUKE OF WELLINGTONS REGIMENT" is seen at King's Cross
on the 22nd October 1969. No.14 would be the last Deltic to receive blue livery during November 1969

There are pictures of small panel Deltics hauling B/G stock...but usually with Maroon between

Image

But I dont think we can take the above screenshots as meant to be historically accurate (cabview isn't off a production deltic for one)

Hi
You would have to install seperately...but the included sounds are also good...and I still use them on the original Deltic.
The DP2 sounds are very powerfull...class 50 on steroids.
