The download doesn't include the activities and stock, and only has one snow texture, I think...

Don't quote me on that though! :)

Thats about it Sam - the route is the same apart from there is just one snow texture for all terrain (and no terrain buffers so they get rebuilt on first run)

The CD also includes all global items required, stock, and activities.

Just four questions:
1. I download the download version. Does the Terrain Buffers thingy effect the perfomance much?

2. I only downloaded UKFS v3.1 not the upgrade to 3.1.5 (?) or any textures. Is that all I need UKFS wise?

3. In the file description it says you need new roads and magnetic platforms I, II and IV. In the readme it only says I and II. Is IV needed (my computer memory's quite low so I'm trying to cut down on useless files)?

4. Are ex-GER locos relevent to the line (I've just spent ages downloading them)?

1. I think it only takes about twice as long on the first load. Then normal time.

2 & 3. Sorry, can't help you there.

4. They were all LNER, so if you have them in LNER livery or BR, then to some degree, yes.

Thanks. It came up with 'routes/YorkshireCoast/TEXTURES/Snow/7bridgetrack.ace' as missing so I guess thats in UKFS 3.1.5 and not3.1.

I'm re-downloading all the files again just in case (Whilst listening to eerie wind.wav on repeat!). If I could ship that file, I could find an alternative but it just stops so I can't do anything. If I couldn't find an alternative, I'd just avoid snow and it'd be alright.

Nice shots, by the way. No one's said that yet. To prove how influencial they were, I've just downloaded Green Arrow in BR lined green.

It worked this time. The transparecies seem to have gone haywire but it's acceptable. I was chuffing along well with Claude Hamilton and a J15...

Dunno. I was too busy wandering how far it was to the sea! I guess I must of. I was under the limit of 40mph when I hit the embankment.
Yorkshire Evening Times wrote:The driver and fireman of Claude Hamilton were thrown clear with minor injuries when the coupling broke. The same cannot be said of the J15. The sudden stop forced the tender to telescope the cab and firebox, killing both of them. There were several fatalites in the first and second coaches when, first the second coach drove through the weak wooden body of the first coach. The first coach crashed into the embankment and then back into the second. Luckily, the steel frames helped them to keep shape. There was three serious injuries in the fourth coach, with a wooden frame, when the third coach shunted into the front of it.

Claude Hamilton was rerailed and towed the J15 down to Scarborough with the coaches 3, 5, 6 and 7 that remained servicable under it's own steam.

Claude Hamilton was fixed on site but the J15 was sent to York for a new firebox, tender and pair of driving wheels. It returned to service after a month. Claude Hamilton was back in service after a week.

The final death toll was the two enginemen of the J15, 5 in coach 1, 6 in coach 2 with 14 people injured, 4 seriously. The accident could have been much worse if the live coals from the J15 had caught the gas lighting in the fourth coach. Fortunatly the gas tanks rmained intact. The Scarborough accident became elementry in the cry to refit all gas-lit coaches with electric lights and replace all wooden framed coaches.
The cause was recognised as a mistake by Driver Peffers. He was charged with having to stay off MSTS for 15 mins.

LOL

No idea why it does that but the write up is great.

When I have a mishap I get my youngest daughter standing over my shoulder playing the "fat controller" and being not very happy. Now then Thomas, you have been a naughty engine etc. She is so good at that :)
Kindest regards
