Working Gatwick Airport added to London-Brighton Route

Hi Everyone
After Driving up and down the London-Brighton Route I thought how poor the representation of Gatwick Airport was.
So after trawling several of the Trainsim Sites I set out to add it!
What I have constructed gives a better representation of the Airport.
I have constructed a Runway using Standard MSTS Road Sections, added some static Aircraft and a few Aprons to accommodate them.
The latest part I added, and to me the part that adds the finishing touches is an animated BA A320 Airbus which flys over the Railway at intervals and lands on the Runway.
I also managed to find some sound sources which add sounds of Aircraft stationary at the Gates, and the roar of an Aircraft taking off.
See the enclosed pictures to see what you think!
To get the full effect you really need to see and hear it in operation.
Well see what you think from the enclosed pictures.
The whole thing took about a Morning to construct.

Sorry don't think I can upload it as the LBE is a Commercial Product and I would need permission, also I wouldn't have a clue what would need to be included in any add-on eg: Tiles/Shapes/Sounds/Textures.

So long as you dont include any files that are from the LBE route.....
If you are interested in making this addition to the LBE route available though, contact
alan.salmon@europeanbahn.co.uk or visit
http://www.europeanbahn.co.uk and have a chat with Ken or Alan. Im sure they will be able to help you out so you dont get caught doing anything illegal

Looks great, as Luca suggests get in touch with EB, it would be nice if this work could be added as an official d/l from EB's site.

If that's my original airbus that Peter Nijmegen and "Uncle Red" modified, EB are more than welcome to make use of it.
- I made it public domain in the first place, though Peter and Red did a huge amount of work modifying it, so they should be contacted.

Thats amazing stuff there, how on earth did you get the plane moving. I had an idea of doing something like this but my way seemed very complicated and i have not yet got round to doing it. If you wouldn't mind explaining it i would be very greatful
Cheers

That's a bit of a grey area, Paul. If you made the original model truly 'Public Domain', then anyone is free to do what they like with it, regardless of whether you approve. Whether their modification or updates are PD by default, or copyright in themselves is the grey area, as, if they are copyright, but alter the original rather than add to it, how can they be distributed separately? It's an area of copyright law tailor made for lawyers to make a fortune from.

OK
Seems there is genuine intrest in this addition.
If Alan Salmon can email me a Postal Address. I will send him a copy of the Route with modified additions so perhaps he will be able to sort out the necessary upload so you can all enjoy it!
I have also modified Brighton with Flying Seagulls and Seagull sounds which add a touch of realisim.
The Flying Airbus comes out of the German Freeware Route WUPPEREXPESS 8 available from
http://www.train-sim.com
This I can well recommend!
Thanks to everybody who posted positive feedback on this posting.
Alan you can either contact me on the above E-Mail or via Personnel Message here.

GO FOR IT!!
The European Bahn team would be crazy not to make this an extra download for it! And then again, even if they do say no, then I am sure you can still strip L2B stuff from it, and then upload it - Sounds bad, but you cant let this go!

There are pages of european airbuses here:
http://www.activitysimulatorworld.net/L ... %E8res.htm
Static or animated.
Anyone can do what they like with them
I think there are probably more "packs" on train-sim.com - Peter went a bit overboard on re-painting.
