Those 310s are nice! Shame there is no wrap-round windows though

Nice screenies too. Bit of Cambrian, bit of BATS. Bit of Mark Shipman.

Nice track texture. A shame though that those cream coloured platform edges haven't been run through the remipit machine.

Hi
Yes....I hate those platform edges(although I think my graphics card makes worse of them).....but I believe they are part of a "magnetic kit"....which is virtually a standard addon these days...perhaps somebody could tidy them up?....but I dont know how to "remipit".
The Class 310 is a re_skin of Ciarans Class 312.....and unfortunately the model construction wouldn't allow for wrap round windows...so I made them as large as possible instead.

Have you asked for permission to upload this, or perhaps adapt the great original 312 to fit wrap windows? Just wonderin, as you've done a mighty fine job there already...

Hi Zack
This version of the 310 will be included with the Thames-Mersey CD...which should be available in the next few weeks.
It comes complete with a new cabview and sounds....and is the subject of one of the activities.
However Ciaran Keegan ,the original model author, is doing an updated version of the class 312, which will also include the cabview and sounds.
And will be uploaded within the next couple of weeks I believe.
Cheers
Jon

I have had the pleasure of driving Jon's 310 on one of his activities that he has done for the CD and it is absolutely spot on as far as the sounds go, and as far as I can remember!!!

Not really just nostalgia creeping in I'm afraid. I remember travelling down to London with my Dad, must have been in about 67/68, when the AC electrics were pretty well brand new out of the box, cast emblems and numbers and all, and the 310's really impressed me - all we had in Liverpool were the 304's, which seemed pretty ropey, even then, in comparison - seems like yesterday.

1965? Almost forty years ago. The scary thing is - I remember it, and it fits the memories.
