New Class 158

Post by SteelixB »

Arriva Transpennine

Original - Regional Railways

Well thats what my secret project is anyway. Still need to do a cab and interior and it should be a complete model. Any help with the cab and interior would be greatly appreciated! If you have any photos of a 158 / 159 cab then please email (or pm) me. Also it would really help if someone has photos of first class in the transpennine xpress, as this is what I'd like to base the passenger view on.

I also have a middle coach complete (which is used in the transpennine xpress), so a few alterations to the model and I will have a 159 too.

Looks excellent, especially the Regional Railways version! :)

As for the cab, I reckon the current version is already very good:

hmm, never noticed that either. I think thats a great cab too, so never mind about cab photos anyone :)

I've also made a gradient for Paint Shop Pro 8, that when used as an overlay gives a really nice shiny metal look. I haven't applied it yet as when I do it makes texturing small details quite a bit harder. I still have to add door buttons and a few other things.

As usual, you've got a fantastic eye for detail and have lovingly captured the looks of the 158 with style! Georgeous model, wonderful texturing - simply breathtaking stuff. Can't wait for the release!

As I said in my first post, I'll be able to create a 159 very easily with a few modifications to the model, so yes, even if I don't make one myself, I'm sure repainters could easily do one :).

I've also had a look at that cab, and it looks very good. I made a couple of modifications to it so now the sander and the sunflower are both animated. I still need to animate the light switch. Also from the previous full cab that was released, I included the right view. I also modified the right view into a left view, as I thought the left view didn't look as good as the right.

All I really need to do now is a passenger view, and get permission from the authors of both cabs for a re-release that would work with my 158.
