Just a few more pics to show a little more of chris's work :)

An Austerity and a Y7 depart foxfield colliery sidings.

The pair start climbing the 1 in 19 gradient out of the colliery.

This shot shows how taxing that gradient really is, even with a banker speed fell to about 5mph.

The train nears the summit of the gradient.

The train runs through the narrow cutting on the way to Blythe Bridge

The Austerity indulges in a little unauthorised main line running at Blythe bridge :o

footnote: This is an early beta, so actual beta testers dont worry, you'll get the more finished version around June time.

Hi

Unfortunately most of the beta testers have been selected, however send me your details and I'll see if I can send you one

(not promising mind, sending beta's to established content creators is a better idea than newbies for the simple (and only) reason is that if something dosen't work, they have half an idea why.)

Thanks Simon

How are the framerates? Its nice to know that the installer worked, I was a bit worried. I think a BR 07/14/03 or a few of the available industrial shunters might be a bit more prototypical mind  I'm surprised that it managed to get round the corners to be honest!

Hi Chris
Only just found this one. I used to be a volunteer at Foxfield about 10 years ago and from the screen shots it looks very good. I'm looking forwards to having a go on this one when you have finnished it. If I was good enough I wouldn't mind doing some of the loco's on the line, but I carn't see that happening for a good while!
Keep up the good work :D

Hi Jim

Do you have any photos you can send me? I dont care what the photos show or anything particular, its just the more photos I have the better, as I have had great trouble finding pictures of the line. Thanks for the kind words :D

Sorry I don't have any, but next time I am up that way I will take my camera with me and shoot a few. It would be nice to film the line from the back of a brake van with a digi-camera, but who's arm would you twist?

Thanks for the offer Jim, some pics of the colliery would be invaluable (I'm sure Wookey can inform of what he would like photos of). Also some pics of the line, I have pics of the exchange sidings, caverswall road, Dilhorne Park, and a few of the colliery, but photos of foxfield wood sidings, and the line inbetween the stations are basically non-existant. All I would probably need is some photos taken from the roads that go near the railway, and from the level crossngs as well.

I take it from the screen shots of the exchange sidings that the place has been cleared of vegitation now. 10 years ago it was completely overgrown and and the track was invisible. I'm going to Cheadle next week, so ill pop up tp the colliery site and shoot some picks.
Jim
P.S. Can you send me a track diag of the exchange sidings, as I think they were altered when the line closed, and I know what the orriginal layout was. (e-mail addy jimandjackie@tiscali.co.uk)

Hi Mate

The sidings haven't been cleared, they're still choked in weeds (I got a couple of photos from Simon aka ThamesClyde). I am currently building the line as it was in the 1950's, although I will release a modern version aftewards. I dont have a proper track diagram for any of the route except the colliery, what I have got is from photos, and a few poor diagrams in books. Any info on track layouts would be brilliant. Have you seen the other foxfield threads by the way? If you haven't just search the forums for Foxfield.
