LNER Class B17 Version 2

Post by harveype »

Hi

After a request I decided to revamp my original version of the B17.

Any Useful Comments Welcome. :)

I intend to upload clean shiny versions and also dirty dull versions of each model only one version will be available in MSTS at a time IE: either shiny version of 61606 or Dirty Version of 61606 not both.

Hi Peter,
Lovely looking models of a lovely looking class!! However, all the earlier B17s up to 2847 or 61647 were equipped with the smaller GE type tender. This was because of the small turntables installed on the Great Eastern section at the time. The LNER standard version tender appeared when similar locos (the "footballers") were constructed for the Great Central section, though by the 1950s the GE was sufficiently well equipped for the entire class to be concentrated there.
Best Wishes, James

Will these bill set up to go into different folders (with different file names etc.) or will installing both overwrite 1?

Hi Ed

I intended to have one overwrite the other but after a little though I might as well make both versions (clean and dirty) available in MSTS, as I will have to upload all the s.files and textures for both any way.

James

I have some Roche Drawings of a GER Type Tender I'll Knock one up to use also with these locos.

Peter :)

Thanks for that Peter, just thought it would be a shame to have 2 nice models available but only able to use 1 in MSTS (without a little tweaking of 1 ;)).
